I requested a free copy of my credit report in July but never received one. I called the company in July well within the 30 days, and requested a cancellation of the account but was told I could not cancel, that my husband had to cancel. Later on the same day my husband did call and told them to cancel and not charge our credit card. Thay then told him he couldn't cancel it that I had to do it, so again I got on the phone and repeated my request to cancel.

All of this was done on the same day and within an hour! We thought that was the end of it but every month since then they have charged my account for no services rendered. I have called and been promised a credit and have received a one month fee refund to my credit card, but they they charged my card a few days later for the month of Sept. 2004. I was informed by "Jade" (a manager at CIC) to fax a copy of all my statments to 714-385-2100 and I would receive a full refund and no more charges. I am in the process of doing that now so I will have to wait and see what the results will be. I have filed a complaint with the Orange Ca. BBB.
