Direct TV contacted me with what I thought was a fabulous deal. They offered what seemed to be a better service with more perks at a lower cost of my cable company. While they were in the process of connecting the service everything was wonderful, however, after the service was connected I realized the contrary. The bill was charged way in advance of what I was innitially informed. The basic channels I was told I would receive were not part of the package. When I called to complain about this I was offered the channels at a higher cost. I explained my financial situation and why I had even agreed to sign up for the service.in the innitial offer phase they told me I had 30 days to cancell the service if I was not happy. However, when I called 13 days into the service I was informed I would have to pay a $480 fee for cancellation. They refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor or a manager to handle my complaint. Further more I found out that I was in a 24 month contract not the 12 month contract I was offered! I feel this is completely unethical and should be illegal to bind customers with lies.
