Customer Service - Awful Customer Service

Advertising

Direct TV has done nothing but cause grief in my life. They advertise one rate and charge another. They do not live up to their obligations as they print them in advertisements. When you finally have had enough as I've had and cancel their service, they all of sudden come up with all these hidden charges. If anyone over-charges you for a service and claims to have an agreement with you, but still over-charges you, logically you would declare it a breach of any type of agreement, correct? They don't! They were charging my credit card without my permission (Is this fraud?) and just would not, refused and otherwise did not come through as they promised. I have written 3 letters explaining this and they still will not listen. I just want to get away from them amicably, but Direct TV makes it extremely difficult to do. I am on the verge of hiring an attorney. They are not going to bully me into their program. I pay the bills, they don't! I am the customer, and as the motto goes " The customer is always right". They really need to take ownership in this motto. At this point, not only am I disgusted with this mess and the way it has upset my household, the time lost changing cable service providers due to the incompetence of Direct TV has not even entered into this equation yet and I doubt they even care about that.
