I've been a person of DirecTV for several years and also have an HD-DVR and two extra devices, and spend more than $80.00/month for providers and gear. The HD-DVR quit a week ago, something which occurs at least one time annually. Once the support representative stated I required a brand new receiver, this time around he added that, to be able to obtain the new receiver, I'd need to accept a brand new two-year support contract. Because we have a much to maneuver someplace within the next 3-6 weeks, I rejected a brand new support contract, and am returning the aged HD-DVR in addition to the brand new one (that was not mounted or triggered). I'm really furious and discouraged that DirecTV has therefore small respect because of its longtime faithful clients that it'd do that. The moment we discover whether we need to transfer or not, I'll be changing to another thing - wire if we transfer wherever it's accessible, and absolutely MEAL if we discover we could remain where we're. Without doubt they'll attempt another thing deceptive whenever we let them know in the future and obtain almost all their gear.
