Poor Customer Service - Phone

I recently upgraded my cell phone from Verizon. Within 4 months, the screen stopped working. The phone is clearly under warranty and I have been trying to get it replaced for the past week.

These are my complaints:
1) They sold me a lemon phone
2) I am not the person whose name is on the account and needed to get that person to call and approve. When I got that person to call, they did not tell that person that the approval was only for 24 hours, that they could add other users to the account or that there was an account password
3) When I called back, I was told the authorization had expired, and that I needed a password - something they had not mentioned to the official user
4) After getting authorization again, I was told my phone was not under warranty anymore because we had switched the account user name when we bought the phone
5) After calling back again, it was determined that the phone actually was under warranty, but needed a manager's approval which would take 1-2 days
6) The result is that my phone has been broken for a week. I am a polite and reasonable person, but out of the 5 representatives I personally spoke with, 3 were extremely rude and treated me noticeably less politely when they understood that my name was not on the account.

I would switch my service provider if I could, but I am locked into a 2 year contract. Do not make my mistake, the customer service is terrible, get a different provider!
