Worst customer service - dont choose if you have a choice - Residential Service

We recently moved to a place where we had no choice but to take Verizon for our home phone service and DSL. Since the very first day the customer service we experienced has been horrible.

A few examples are, every time we call and need to speak to a representative, the wait time is amazingly long, number of times, it was about 1/2 hour. When asked, they simply say they are experiencing too many calls, well, I have tried calling at different times, and its the same.

I took my service through internet and there was a service charge they did not show on my order, but when I got my first month's bill, I saw it there. So when I called them, they said they cannot help because I ordered online, and I have to talk to an online rep through their chat. When I chatted online, they said they do not have access to my database at all, I have to call them back again. This is absolute madness.

More than once, the customer service reps were rather rude, they seem to advise their customers more than trying to help them in a way that benefits the customers, saying you "should have" done this or that... Not like other companies.

My honest opinion, if you have a choice, evaluate your options well before selecting Verizon.
