So I met a former Direct TV employee who explained to me that no one gets the portable DVD player, it's a scam. He explained the "boiler room" Direct TV call center, where everyone is a nervous wreck wondering when there will be a raid.

Direct TV call center workers are told to say that service calls are free, but every one of their subcontracted service techs wants a check or cash when they show up at your house. When will there be a class action lawsuit?
