Embarassing wrongful TV service interruption. P - Satellite Tv Service

I waited patiently to for 4 months to change my cable company from comcast to dish. I had it installed on April 2nd and paid for 1 month in advance. I called on 30th April and upgraded my plan. On 3rd of may, afte work, I came home with my girlfriend to watch TV only to be embarrassed because my services had been suspended due to non payment. I am unhappy even now because I never saw any correspondence nor any kind of communication about my bill. I didn't know bow much I was to pay till I called dish that night. I talked to a customer service rep. Who was sorry but lied to me that service would be reinstated in the next 24 hrs since it was cut not because of my fault. 24 hrs over, I called back only to be told that I had to pay before reconnection. Dish please the problem was not money, it was communication! One needs to plan and it's unfair just to interrupt someone's leisure without warning. I am now ready to go back to comcast.
