We were happy with Dish Network but got sweet talked into switching to Direct TV by a Century Link customer service rep. With the promise of better service, upgraded equipment, faster internet, the whole works. Guess what, Direct TV has been a nightmare from the get go. They did not deliver what they promised so I have had to spend time I'll never get back on the phone with this company. On top of this my second receiver just stopped working so now in order to get a replacement they either charge $199 for a new one or you sign on for the "Protection Plan" for $5.99 a month.in NY we called this a shake down. I wonder if NC Attorney General's office should get involved.
