Charged twice but not refunding

I reserved for just two evenings/2 areas through hotwire offers. They supplied the areas at staybridge suites East Stroudsburg. The resort got my charge card for misc costs. After two times of stay I realized that the resort has billed my charge card for 1 space 2 times. Therefore efficiently I wind up spending to equally hotwire in addition to for Staybridge.

Its been 3 months I am contacting both hotwire and Staybridge. Staybridge claims that hotwire credit card rejected the cost and therefore they charged to my charge card. And so I have to speak with hotwire for reimbursement. Hotwire claims they settled Staybridge and therefore they require verification from Staybrdige to reimbursement. Appears like Staybridge isn't answering their inquiries.

Questioning why the client ought to be penalised for many mistake-up between hotwire and Staybridge?

I am still battling it out. Wish they'll negotiate it out before I attempt some legitimate means. Could keep everyone posted.
