I booked a flight from Maui to Kauai on Island Air via Orbitz. My flight was changed 3 times, and on the 3rd change, I wasn't going to be able to make the flight because the flight was at a time I wouldn't even been on Maui. When I called to tell Orbitz the flight wasn't going to work (as the email tells you to do if you have an issue with the new time), Orbitz contacted Island Air which then came back to Orbitz saying I authorized the change so I was out of luck. Come to find out, Orbitz acts on your behalf and approves flights whether or not you approve. This means I not only have to reschedule through another airline (the flight I was assigned was the latest that day, so I was screwed either way) which costs $, but I also have to eat the $ I paid Orbitz and Island Air in the first place. Orbitz told me my only option was to eat it or take a credit for a future flight on Island Air. The credit would have been ok if I lived in Hawaii, but I don't, I live in NJ. Orbitz has no customer service skills, nor the desire to keep customers.
