Flight changed, cancelled as a result and getting refund is nearly impossible. Beware!

My flight was changed and as a result of the change, i would not make my connecting flight. My husband and I were scheduled to climb Mt. Rainier so we could not afford to not connect, given our tight timeline to arrive to our destination. We decided to cancel and get a refund (we purchased flight insurance) and this is where the fiasco began.
Agent accent was incredibly hard to understand. To add, he was not knowledgeable about where to find the information pertinent to us. I was told I needed to wait 2 billing cycles (60 days to get my refund). We're not post 60 days. I've called back and it's only worse. I was told I would need to wait another 6-8 weeks for a refund! Not only that, but the agent could not tell me the exact amount that would be refunded to me. He misquoted the price 3 times! I have no choice but to wait and call once again hoping to get someone more knowledgeable about the process there. I will NEVER again book with Travelocity. The few bucks I save on a ticket is definitely not worth the trouble.
