Starr Getaways
Possible ripoff Florida

Traveling & Tourism

I went onto a website today and a message flashed up to say that I had won 1201.00 and that I was the 100000th customers.

It was a free phone number so I called and the company was called Starr Getaways that said they were trying to promote Florida on behalf of the Florida Tourist Bureau.

I have qualified for a trip to Orlando, Daytona, Ft Lauderdale and the Bahamas, me including three other people all for 798.00.

Now as good as this sounds and I was hoping it was true I decided to e-mail the tourist bureau to double check what I heard was right.

They gave me this address to report this to and their exact words were "Cancel charges "NOW" if possible".

So I did a search on this website and not the my surprise I found a story quite similar but unfortuatley had paid the money.
