Charged Over $4000 After Quoted Trip Price of $2916

We booked a trip online with Cheap Tickets for $2916. We ended up calling customer service for help, and the trip then became over $3200. When I questioned why the price went up, I was given the runaround about how Cheap Tickets and Orbitz were sister companies. I told the man I wanted to cancel the whole thing, as $300 more (during that 1 hr call) was not what I had planned for. They refused to meet the quoted original price of $2916, which I could still do myself online. He then transferred me to customer service, where I was told they were going to charge me $25 to cancel! In the end they waived the stupid cancellation fee. Seriously, this was in a span of 1 hr on the phone the entire time with them, not like we booked, waited a few days, then canceled. The next morning I checked my credit card to see the activity, and I added up the charges they put on my card, which totaled over $4000!! I feel I was scammed. I will never ever use them again and I will NEVER recommend either Cheap Tickets or Orbitz to anyone, friend or foe. Shame on them!
