Boys Scouts of America Lie about their Catalog/Online Merchandise Rip Off Fraud

In their Winter/Gift 2009 catalog, on page 12, I had ordered:

Space Derby Kit #17095
Box of 24 Rubber Bands with... Wire Winder Fittings #17097
Space Derby Accessory Kit #17099

In their description for the Space Derby Kit, they said that the kit includes a rocket body which is "pre-shaped" and that "glue" and "decals" were included.

In the Box of Rubber Bands, they said that wire winder fittings were included.

I received the package on Friday, and the rocket body was NOT pre-shaped. You have to sand it yourself. There was NO glue included. The "decals" were just 0-9 number stickers, just one set.

For the wire winder fittings, only ONE was in the box, even though they had made fittings plural in their description.

To me, this is fraudulent. The photo on page 12 shows a nice rocket ship, but that's not what you get. If you want it to look like that, you have to buy nearly everything on the page... But still, you don't get everything promised.

I called to complain and the gal said that the "glue" and "fittings" was a typo. And that she'll send me wire fittings, but from the tone of her voice, I'll wait to have them in my hand to believe it.

I believe that they should not say you'll get something when it's not really included and they should say that the decals in the kit are numbered stickers.

Oh, and shipping all this was expensive - $9.95. I do a lot of shipping. There is NO way shipping would have actually costed that much.

I will NEVER be buying from Boys Scouts of America again. I cannot trust them.
