Accreditation Costs Over $400 and Gets You Only a Logo

Has anyone ever really asked what you get when you become an accredited business of the BBB? Do you as a company believe that paying more than $400 to a non profit organization helps the consumers believe in your business any more than simple homework on their own? My answer? You really get nothing more than a symbol, which you can display on the website, if you have one. And if your really happy about $400 or more, you can use their logo on your company material for a selling point. But coming from the inside, I can tell you, this symbol is probably harming your business more than helping. And that $400 you spend for that? Gets you nothing? I am a believer in the rumor going around about the BBB, which is you "You gotta pay to play". If you want to play with the BBB of course. Now me, as a business, would prefer to put that $400 somewhere else than get a symbol or a logo that is hurting me, wouldn't you? Jus sayin
