In June Carla Coleman D/b/a A Grand Affair was contacted about providing services as a Party Planner/Coordinator and Linen Supplier for a special event for my daughter. After a long discussion with Mrs. Coleman on how we wanted the event to go and reviewing her website, we chose A Grand Affair to help us with this very special event.

We met on more than one occasion with Carla 1st and then with the baker and photographer. We were very explicit as to what we wanted and there was no budget because of how nice we wanted this event to be. We communicated with her by phone as well. We even provided pictures for the design of the cakes. We gave them the menu we wanted for the Midnight Brunch as well. After the final meeting and everyone understood what was required everything was a go.

The day of the event July 24th began with first her and her crew were late, they failed to be setup on time, the cakes were ugly, the food was a horrifying disaster and the photographer presented false advertising of the way the photo album was to look and what we received. He took more pictures of people dancing and the DJ than of the person the event was for.

We requested Eggs Benedict as one of the breakfast entrees' instead of half an English muffin, Canadian bacon, a poached egg with Hollandaise sauce he used regular bacon!!! We ask for chicken & waffles where traditionally the chicken is either wings or chicken tender strips he served leg quarters that were cold, half cooked and burned!!! The syrup and the eggs were cold. There was suppose to be a variety of fruit juices NONE!!! No coffee!!!

She kept going on and on about a special surprise she had the cater prepare, but I ended up being charged for it!!! Really!!! It was the ugliest fruit display I have ever seen!!!

She charged me a $175.00 for purple carpet that was to run over a bridge and then the center of the outside deck for entry. She had a small square of lavender carpet not purple!!!

I paid her close to $25,000.00 for an absolute fiasco!!! Not to mention they lied about the liquor and stole the open bottles of liquor!!!

We have tried to contact her on more than one ocassion to try and talk to her and the cater about the food because there was no way that food cost him $4500.00!!!

We have tried to talk to the photographer to get better pictures and a better video and he has failed to respond as well!

What ever you do do not use Carla Coleman and her crew for not even a dog fight!!!
