Purchase price misleading

I found the price of my dress on line for $199.99 and confirmed the accuracy of the website with a salesperson trying to verif that it was that price even for the womens size. I was told it was the correct price. Once I was in the dress at the store the price was $50.00 more. Supposedly because of it being a womens size, which took a few people to get this explanation. Had I known that the price was more for the womens dress even though the website showed this price for the womens dress. I would have tried on a larger regular size dress to save the money.
