I purchased my wedding gown at Davids Bridal and I just wanted to share my experience so that they hopefully will improve their customer service and the knowledge of their salespeople. I found a dress I loved and it was a bit more than I wanted to spend so I left without it. I checked the website that evening and found the dress was less than what the salesperson told me earlier that day. The next day I called and asked if the price I was seeing on line in my size which is a womens size. I was aware that the price was more because of it being a womens dress, but I found the womens size on the website and the price was the same either way. The dress was made with or without a train. I went back to try the dress on and the salesperson was so overwhelmed that she literally threw me in the dress and let me hang out while she helped the other brides she had in line. When I decided to purchase the dress she told me the price and it was $50.00 more than it was on the website. I asked why the increase price and she said it was because I was having the train removed. What removing material was more. It didn't say that on the website. I questioned that and there was no more of a response. I went ahead and purchased the dress of course because I fell in love with it and my wedding was just a few months away. I did ask this question to yet another salesperson who told me it was because it was a womens size. I explained the process I had gone through and she said that the price would be correct if the dress would have been ordered on line. I don't think there was an understanding that the dress was an online or in store purchase the price shouldn't be different.
I went to David's Bridal for the reasonably priced dresses, but didn't expect that they would disregard my obvious confusion over the price increase. I could have discussed this further with the supervisor today at my fitting, but yet again they were so busy there was not any time.
It would have been nice if someone would have checked into it for me the first time I mentioned the price and given me a $50.00 discount. As there website was misleading.
