Ken's art & picture frame warehouse bad, rude, damages art, argues-poor service

New store opens in our neighbourhood so we thought it would be nice to get some art framed. We were given fast time for pick up and the price was reasonable.

We returned for pickup, the frame was scratched, so they said hold on tried to touch it up with a marker. Upon closer look there were other marks on it but what was even worse, the edge of the frame where it met up with the other side was not even. It was off by 1/16th of an inch. So off it was noticeable from standing back 3-4 feet.

Rather than admit this was off, the owner we assume, said "thats the way they are we been in business 27 years" we pointed out the scratches, " they come scratched he said"

We asked for our print back at which time they were decent and returned sandwiched in between to pieces of cardboard with yellowed scotch tape. We did not think much of that until we arrived home. We opened to look and they had accidentally (we would like to think) taped the edge of the print to the board. We returned to the store explained our situation. Than while were talking up from behind comes another man who were not sure is a customer in the store or employee. He starts touching our print and moving it. I moved the print away as so that he would not touch or damage it and asked who he was and why he was intervening. He than said he worked there. We explained we were talking to the gentleman infront of us and did not require his help.

Lost for words, he starts threatening me to " step outside..." all becausewe said: " exucse me did i ask for your help im dealing with gentleman here" finally the owner comes over and rather than try an resolve things acts like a total jerk. Accusing us of bringing in the print this way. This was a sealed print from rom - from the picasso exhibit. It was brand new. "if you know anything about framing your lucky we gave it back to you that way and not with glue all over it "

They come damaged i see them all the time he says and i dont care where you got it even from rom they come in damaged. Needless to say we wont be returning and look forward to seeing this shop gone from our neighbourhood
