Takes a month and a half to give you a refund that you are owed

I had to close my account with Time Warner because I moved. The timing was such that I returned their equipment on the same day that they automatically debited my checking account for the amount of the monthly bill. Not a problem as they readily agreed that I was owed a refund of approximately $107.

The problem arose when I asked when I might expect to see my check come in the mail. The customer service representative informed me it would take 4 to 6 weeks. I pointed out that it only took them a few minutes to take the money OUT of my account, so why should it take more than a few minutes to put it back into my account. I then asked how she would react if she went to a McDonald's and put down $20 for a $4 hamburger only to be informed that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to get her change. I may as well have been talking to the wall. Stupidity must be a requirement to obtain a Time Warner Cable Customer Service Representative job.

That same day, January 13, I wrote to Time Warner's Senior Management through the widget provided for the purpose on their website. Upon submitting my complaint, I was presented a screen that promised a response within 48 hours. It is January 26, and I have yet to hear from anyone in Senior Management. Thieves AND Liars.

Yesterday, January 25, I got a call from TWC Customer Service. The nice young lady informed me that my account had, in fact, been closed, and that STARTING FROM January 21, I would have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for my money. Of course, I went ballistic at their nasty little attempt to add another three weeks to the process, and she went off with me on hold for 10 minutes while she "checked and was able to get the time reduced back to 4 to 6 weeks."

Today I again wrote to Senior Management to tell them just how displeased I am with their utter lack of anything that remotely resembles integrity, but I don't expect to hear much.
