Mr. Rip-off Rooter Ruins Property

Do NOT recommend! We are renters in a triplex and Mr. Rooter came to do our sewer. 1st they took longer to hook up our sewer than they originally quoted - 3 days instead of 2 which was very inconvenient since they had to run it down our driveway. Then they just took off leaving a huge steel box thing on our yard - slowly killing off our grass we work very hard on... And also they left a huge pile of dirt in the back yard on more grass, as well as the backyard all tore up and with big holes.

They took out sections of our sidewalk and broke other parts of it which they said they would replace, as well as ruined most of our grass in the back yard when they said they would take it out in sections and lay it back down. It has been two weeks and we have not seen nor heard from them. Our 90 year old landlady had to call and threaten to not pay them until the work was completed before they finally came today and started laying new cement for the sidewalks - but ignoring the broken pieces.

Really not expecting a job well done once it's finished, probably in for a few more battles. They came across the electricity running to the garage from the complex and broke the conductor. No one had known it was there but they agreed to hire an electrician to fix it - instead they taped it and buried it back in the ground. They emptied the septic tanks and then left them uncovered all evening and night - anyone could've come home from work and fallen in them not being able to see the holes. They threw all of their garbage in the old septic tanks before they filled them up. They ruined one of the tenants plants and agreed to replace it - which never happened. Now they say that since they can't find the same plant over they will not replace it.

They are very rude and have really crappy antagonistic attitudes. The way they treat the people who live in the complex, as well as the way they treat the yard and the property of the people living in the complex is totally unacceptable. They even knocked into one of the tenants' BBQ with the backhoe and didn't even right it afterwards. It is going to take years before the yard is back the way it once was. They totally thrashed the place!!! We'll see how it goes - so far, however, I wish we had never gone through Mr. Rooter!!! They charged just shy of $5000 for this hack job!!!

Do not use this company because if there are any problems you will have a hard time dealing with them to try to get the problems corrected, and you will have to deal with their crappy attitudes!!!
