Fraudulent collection scam

This company leaves messages daily on my answering machine regarding an old AT&T account which was closed two years ago. They have not stopped after being provided proof of account settlement. They will not provide any written proof of their claim.

I believe they employ goons to steal the account numbers of former AT&T customers in an effort to strong-arm unsuspecting persons into turning over unwarranted funds to them. I'm sure they'd just embezzel the funds directly from the bank accounts if they could get the account number. They are the lowest of the low - extremely arrogant on the phone with no accurate data to back up their claims. When proof of payment is provided to them they choose to ignore it and continue harassment.

Another related point - it seems that all cancelled XM Radio accounts are given to this company for harassment efforts - do not do business with XM Radio if you value your credit rating.
