No Proof of Debt Provided After Five Months of Requests

Midland Credit needs to get their heads out of their rear ends and listen to the consumers. I have asked for proof of a debt that we supposedly have with MCI. As of yet -5 months later they haven't provided any proof of debt. This was done so each time in writing. The individual that I spoke with today, stated that they are not required to do so and that I should just pay the debt or the settlement offered and get it done with.

I had to be persistent in getting yet another address to send a letter to asking for proof of the debt. I did credit and collections for 15 years and when proof of a debt was asked for I gave it to them.

Accounts that are turned over to this company I suspect are a lot of times bogus-especially since they cannot provide hardcopy proof when asked.
