Door-to-Door Package Priced Far Above Quote, Now in Collections

In September a young man came to my door selling telephone service in a package with internet and cable t.V. Seeing that my bill was getting a little high at the time I listened to his pitch. He quoted me a price for the whole package that I just couldn't turn down. He called the company in my presence to arrange the hookup. They told me my first bill would be about double then usual. But after that I would get the price that he quoted me. So I accepted those terms and went on with what I was doing.

After three months of not only paying two or three times what he quoted me, I was also paying a direct tv bill that was two and a half times what this young man quoted me. After four months of fighting on the phone with the company, I just told them where to go.

Now it is in collections, for something like 1800.00 dollars. I still have every piece of paper that I received from them including the paper the young man wrote on when he sold me the package. They call me starting at 8:00 o'clock in the morning until 10:30 at night. I now there has to be lots of people they've done this to because I've heard lots and seen lots of complaints. Can they just leave this poor disabled woman alone.
