Turbo Tax
Intuit is a "free" ride on the rip-off band wagon

Shops, Products, Services

I used the "free" edition of Turbo Tax. Throughout the process I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to "basic" or "deluxe." At all times I said "No."

At the end of preparing both the Federal and State return I was told that I had to either have the fee taken from my refund (for a charge of $29.95) or I had to enter a credit card. I wasn't told how much I was being charged or why I was being charged for a "free" service. I had to enter a credit card. The website gave me no choice.

I entered my credit card information and a few seconds later I received the emai belowl:

Why am I paying $27.95 for a "free" edition?

I noticed when viewing other Turbo Tax rip off reports, different amounts were charged... Some higher and some lower than mine. Why?

This is a huge rip off!
