Received an unsolicited email from Intuit-Turbo tax that stated, "Do your federal taxes free..." After inputting all the data, I got to the efiling section when, for the 1st time, I saw that they were charging $27.95 to efile a state tax return. There was no way to go back to only filing the federal return, which was supposedly free, without agreeing to paythe $27.95. What a WASTE of TIME! This may not beillegal, but it is certainlydeceptive. Seems really stupid to pay almost $28.00 to get a $6 refund. I will never again use Turbo Tax for anything!
