The Bon Marche Abusive Credit Practice

This retailer, who has stores across the US, failed to credit a payment I made by mail. Subsequent monthly correspondence even by certified mail has been ignored: what they did was credit the following month to the "missing" month and then tack on a "late charge" - every single month for almost two years despite monthly correspondence from me regarding this matter.

I even requested that they ask their Legal Department to review this abusive credit practice but they continue to send only form demand letters in response. An informal poll of Bon store employees by me (Eugene, Oregon store) reveals that this is a common practice by The Bon credit department. I understand from these Bon employees that a separate company handles The Bon's credit accounts. I am having to hire an attorney to straighten this out!
