The story is too long to tell. The short story is I got a letter promising $25.99 lifetime. I signed up and got a bill for a much higher amount around $53.00/month. I called they gave me a credit and was supposed to put me on the 25.99/mo promotion. Well the next couple of bills did not show that I'm on this plan and totally they overcharged me for $76. I called and had to talk to 2 cust service person each taking 1:30 minutes b/c the first one dropped the ball and told me to call back. Well when I called back had to explain everything over again and they told me different information. But the second person gave me a credit for $56 and place me on a different plan for around $10 more per month but only for 36 months. So they still owe me $20 plus going forward I have to pay $10 more per month.
In addition they don't allow to sign up online unless you're at home to receive your password or have them sent it to you through snail mail. SO I coultn' get online to view my bills.
Spending 3 hours on the phone to get a $56 refund and reduce my loss from $27/mo to $10/mo after they mislead me! Unbelievable.
Take home message is do not use Verizon if you don't have to!
