Return refused over cut labels on bedspread

I purchased a bedspread, valence and shams from Touch of Class. It arrived promptly, however when I opened the package with the bedspread, it smelled. When I put it on my bed, it was crumpled looking and looked more like it was a used bedspread. I immediately put it back in the packaging and shipped it back to Touch of Class. When they received it they called and said that they would not accept it and will not credit me back because the labels were cut off. I was outraged... What labels? I didn't have enough time to see any labels when I saw the condition of this bedspread. I explained that and told them I never saw a label. They insisted and accused me of lying, saying that I cut the labels with a scissor. I strongly objected, then they offered me a store credit. I couldn't believe it. First they accused me of lying then offer a store credit, but never even acknowledging that maybe they sent me a defective of used item. What happened with the customer is always right... They have NO CLASS. Just their way of not accepting returns even when they are blatantly wrong. Touch of Class is Classless... I have this dilemma in the hands of my credit card company at this time.
