Wireless ripoff Older phones are disabled by Tmobile, have to buy new one

Recently my 2 tmobile phones (nokia 6190) show "roaming" on the display and a triangle appeared in the upper part of the screen. Called tm customer care and was told I have to purchase new phones as the old ones were disabled by tm in their system forcing anyone with an older good working phone to purchase a new one. Nice move by vstream to increase their revenue! Unfortunately I work for them in a call center!
