Poor customer service, deceptive practices

I recently received a bill from direct tv and it was for 200.00 more than my normal monthly bill. I called customer service to ask about the charges and was hung up on. She didn't say hang on i'll check or anything just hung up on me.

I called back and was told it was from 2 months ago. It was taken care of and I had her look at my acount to see where it had been credited. She then said ok then its the receivers you sent back. They had charges on them from 2 years ago.

I told her I only sent back one receiver back not 3. And of course she said it was her mistake it was only one receiver and the charges were from it.

This is the fourth time this has happened I even shut off my service at one point because of it. They convinced me to come back and told me remote ordering would be blocked. I would have to go online or order over the phone for a fee.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and told him about the previous problem and repeated what I had been told. He said we cannot block remote ordering. I asked why I had been told they could. He said he didn't know but I was responsible for the charges.

He made very rude and inappropriate comments to me about my programming choice and when I asked to speak to his boss informed me he did not have one. He was the only person I could speak with and I was basically SOL.
