I used Omar Camargo to do a kitchen remodel. He took upfront money from me to buy tools and supplies. Then did not come back for weeks. After repeated phone calls he came back to rip everything out and then disapear for a week again. Told us he had to a family emergency. Asked for the next payment even though he did not finish the 1st stage of the work. Stupid me I gave it to him believing his sob story.
He then worked nicely for 2 straight weeks and things looked on the up. Asked for more money which I gave. And, of course he disappeared for a week again after promising to be back the next night.
After begging him to come back and threatening to go to the police he showed up to work some more. At this point the job starting to not look as he explained it would. Very poor craftsmenship and the tile on the backsplash was so far off the wall that it looked terrible. I explained my unhappiness and asked for him to start over. He said he would start the next day and since he will be doing the extra work can he receive more money. I declined and told him to finish.
This was the last I saw of him. He never returned any phone calls or stopped back over to work on the kitchen. We were left without a kitchen for a month and a half now. I called in another company to quote finishing the job. They told me that everything would have to be ripped out and he did not follow any code requirements.
This whole process cost me $15,000 to Omar and another $22,000 to the company that fixed the mess. We lost alot in time and money because of this. DO NOT trust this man!
