They did exactly the same thing to me as in the Overlook Apts. Report. They advertised on a huge banner $199 TOTAL MOVE IN. The apartment Manager and Assistant lead me to believe my application would be accepted with no problem but they needed my 199.00 TOTAL MOVE-IN price to secure the apartment so no one else could get it, and informed me the application fee was only $35. When my app was denied, they kept my entire $199!
They were very personable at first, but when I confronted them, they were rude and offered no explanation. I suspect my money order never even made it to the property company's account.
