Rain Dance Apartments
Liars! Rip-off!

Well, I am 19 years old, college student, and finally decided to move out of my parents' house. I went apartment searching about three months ahead of time. All of the apartments I came across where nice but there was one that stood out; called Rain Dance Apartments. They are "OKAY" looking, but when the lady took me for the tour, she said the utilities were free and water was $8. Well, that was the best deal I had came across yet, so I took her up on the offer and put down my application fee.

She called me the next day and told me that I was approved and that I had to pay a $250 deposit because I had no credit and that it could be paid at anytime. I agreed and paid her my deposit within a couple of weeks. Well, I was scheduled to move into apt. #212 with a washer and dryer at the beginning of Sept. She didn't give me a specific date, she said to call around the 6th. Well, I was so anxious that I decided to call her on the first.

She said that the apt. Was ready and that I could come and look at it the next day. When I arrived, she explained to me that my "original" apt. Was still occupied, the lady decided to renew her lease. Which I had no problem with that, but they had no more apts. With a washer and dryer. She took me to apt. #965. It was a nice apt, it had new carpet, there were a FEW errors (like no electricity but she said they would get that cut on), but overall; I had no complaints. I was just so anxious to get out of my parents house that I decided to go ahead and sign the lease, afterall, the utilites WERE free! Well, when we got back to the office, I asked her in three different ways about the utilities being free and she would say "Yes the electric is free". So after the lease has been signed and I get my keys, she tells me that I must call OG&E and get it signed over to my name.

I ask her why if they will be the one's paying it and she gave me some bull about how it won't be charged to me. Well, when I called OG&E and told her that my apts would be the one's paying for my electric the operator said "Well, you might want to check with your apts again because if you aren't paying for this then you shouldn't be putting it in your name." So this time I decided to call the apts. From my cell phone. "THIS" time the apt manager was telling me that she NEVER said that and she doesn't know where I got that from and all this other bull. I told her that if I had known that I was paying electric I would've taken my services elsewhere and a couple of OTHER things, but I just wanted to let EVERYONE know how Rain Dance is SUCH a rip off and great LIARS! They'll do anything to make a sale!
