Potpourri Consignment Store
Consignment rip-off Oceanside

Shops, Products, Services

I took in a very nice sofa, chair and hassock set for consignment because I was moving and had no room for it. I paid $1800.00 at Macys. I never heard from her and when I called she said she had sold the chair for $75:00. She said she hadn't sold the other pieces. I said I would have by daughter who lived nearby to pick them up and she said to call before she came because it might be sold. I called and she said she had donated it a thrift shop a friend of hers owned because it smelled like cigarette smoke. No one had ever smoked in my house. I asked the name of the thrift shop and called them. They said they hadn't received anything of that description. I called Potpourri back and she denied that and got nasty. A couple of days later I got a note from the thrift shop saying they were mistaken. Along with a receipt I could use for IRS donation. I then got a check for $40.00 from potpourri..$75.00 minus $35.00 for picking them up.
