Ripoff I gave at least 8 to 10 bags of clothes on consignment and signed a contract In the last few months I have only been paid a mere $25.00 the first month No clothes given back or any money yet

I gave a ton of clothes to this consignment shop (approximately 8 to 10 bags of good, name brand clothing, etc..) and I have ONLY received a check for $25.00. This check was given to me the first month. I have not received ANYTHING since this time. I called several times to see if there was a check and the answer I received was "No!" I asked the owner this: "You are telling me you have not sold ONE single item of mine at all?" she said "No!" I find that VERY hard to believe because I gave some very nice clothes to this company. They varied in size so that can't be an excuse. I also bought a shelf for $8.00 FOR the store because I was asked for my help in redecorating or coming up with a different look for the store. I DID NOT receive the money back on that nor did I get the shelf back.

I am very disturbed about this because I went to Beaumont about a month ago (I have since moved to Dallas) and I called AGAIN and asked if I had any money and was given the same answer. I asked the owner if I could come in and pick out MY clothes since I had only brought clothes down from Dallas for two days and ended up having to stay longer. I was told No AGAIN. I did not realize how easy it seems for these consignment shops (not the legitimate one's) to get away with keeping other people's belongings for their own benefit and not complying with their own rules..
