Would not give me item for price on posted sign

Visited shop in the walmart store within alamogordo new mexico on sunday, june 7th to buy some bags of stone for gardening. Walked around outside to see what they'd and saw what works along with a good cost. Went inside to get the merchandise when the cashier called it-up it had been arising and 3.98 a carrier once the sign outside stated 1.98 per case. She tried several codes but none called up at 1.98 per case. She went outside with me to determine for herself and take a look. She saw the sign and got the code in the carrier and we returned inside todo the transaction. It still wouldn't show up at 1.98 per case. She called a supervisor for the department to tell her the problem when the supervisor came, she explained immediately, it's no way they could give me the amount i needed for the price around the sign but would give me-1 (one) carrier for that 1.98 and also the rest in the higher cost.informed her that's not right and wouldn't be purchasing the merchandise and that i quit the shop. That's not right, to not honor the cost that's posted at the merchandise. The client can't shouldn't me billed a greater price for something when it's the retailers problem. What's wrong with this sort of customer support! Every other shop i'd maintain would give you them for the price around the warning! Is there not a regulation about something such as this.
