Unfair return/exchange policy, unclear and ridiculous!

I had gotten a really terrible hair cut and I wanted a clip in extension so that my hair wouldn't look so terrible and I saw some in Sally Beauty so I asked the sales associate for help, I told her I needed help getting the right color and she didn't give me the option of looking at the hair swatches, she just picked up the lightest blonde and said "this matches perfect" and in the dim store like (with the hair still in the package!) I kinda agreed.

So I asked her more questions about the hair extension clip and she told me all about how you can't use heat, how to wash it, it needs to be cut to blend in with my hair but not a word about no exchanges. I looked at the hair in the package outside and it was way too platinum for my hair so I went right back in to get a darker one (the sealed package hasn't even been opened!) and the girl then smugly points out the "absolutly no refunds/exchanges" policy in tiny letters on the package and says there's nothing I can do and I can speak to the manger -who isnt' there.

So I wait 2 days when she said the manager would be in and big suprise, no manager again. So I demaned she call her but the manager refuses to hear me out. This policy is bull! I understand the hygien thing but the hair is in an unopened package! They take this too far and if its going to be strick they need to probably warn you when you're buying it that even if you don't open it you can't bring it back for any reason.

I've never heard of a retailer that won't be reasonable and try to make the customer happy. It's like the cashier purposely hyped up the product and didn't even bother to warn me about the policy knowing that I didn't get a chance to look over the colors better - I would had known! I will never buy another thing from this store, they are absolutly crooked for the way they do business!
