Deceptive sales practices

I purchased a clip-on hair extension from Beauty Plaza for $99.99 on 12/15/07. The receipt I was issued says that returns will be given store credit. When I attempt to return the product on 12/26/07 taking the un-opened package, I was told to read a small sign at the register saying in tiny print that all sales were final on 4 types of products. One of the listed products was hair products. I was thus refused store credit.

At the time of sale, no attention was called to the policy involving hair products, and there is no sign posted on the rack holding the products stating the policy.
