Has a ripoff $420 cancellation fee that they never tell you about!

I recently ordered direct tv after they enticed me with a $29.99 per month fee. Which it actually comes out to about $50, but that's not really my complaint. I called to cancel service after having it for about 3 months because it's way slower than cable. They then inform me that I would be charged "at least $420" as a cancellation fee. I was shocked and asked why, the rep replied, "because you agreed to a lease on the DVR for 24 months at $20 month". I responded by saying that of course I would return the equipment, but she said that the $420 charge was separate. I explained to her that I had never been told of the fee when ordering the service nor had I signed anything. Her lame argument was that by verbally agreeing to have them install service, I was agreeing to lease the equipment. BS! Should could not provide me with anything I had signed nor any recording stating that I had agreed to any charge or even was ever informed of it. This is BS, I have a small business and could never get away with ripping off someone like that! So I have to stick with this crappy service until 2 years is up? At least cell phone companies inform you upfront. If there is anyone out there please help!!
