Used laptop with broken hinge not covered by any warranty

I have rented 2 big screen TVs, a recliner, a deep freezer, 2 refrigerators, a washer and dryer, and a laptop over the past years. I am a long-term customer. I recently leased a used laptop that was not in very good condition to begin with, but I took it anyway, knowing that Aarons was a reputable company and that if something happened to it they would help. The hinge on the laptop broke, and they will not cover it under warranty and expect me to pay to have it fixed. The store manager said it had obviously been dropped, but I have several character witnesses attesting to how well I take care of my belongings, two of whom were there when the laptop broke.
