Evercom / Correctional Billing Service is over charging for long distance calls, does not provide paper bills and charge for payment of phone time.

This is a win win situation for them, but what about the families of those incarcerated? Lord knows if we were wealthy or influencial/Political they would not have been incarcerated in the first place.

Most of the families with inmates in out of State private prisons are unable financially to visit our love ones much less pay for the outrageous costs of telephone cards or prepaid calling (such as in the case of the above mentioned company) that monopolizes the inmate telephone service.

Something has to be done. It is not right for the families to foot the outrageous cost of telephone charges. I thought I was alone in this situation, however I see that I am not alone. Everyone needs to stand up and voice their complaints concerning this rip off company and maybe something can be done.

It's not our fault that our family members are incarcerated by making poor choices. There is crimes committed everyday, especially by big cooperations, but because of the almighty $ many of them get away. Look at the oil/fuel situation.

Sure the cost for gas went down a little but it's still very high priced. If we sit around and grumble about it nothing is going to be done. We need to stand up for "what is right".in the words of Billy Jean "What is right is right!!!
