Excessive phone call rates charged to families of inmates

Correctional Billing Services, a division of Evercom Systems, is gouging the family members of incarcerated individuals by charging outrageous phone call tolls on calls made to Mothers and Fathers who are innocent of any crime but are being penalized as though they are.

This should be against the law, and I encourage everyone to do as I am and contact your elected officials, print and media reporters, news magazines and expose shows about this blatant rip off of people who are not charged or convicted of any crimes. People who only want to hear from those they still love, in spite of their past mistakes, and don't appreciate being penalized for doing so.

Other companies charging for phone calls seem to be able to make a profit doing so at a far less rate per minute than Correctional Billing Services. This is a clear cut case of ripping off innocent consumers if there ever was one. Let's let them know that this is not right.

Let's see some fairness from this company and an explanation of just how they think they can justify charging these outrageous rates!
