AT&T
Loose family and friends quickly with this company

AT&T blocked my out going calls to anywhere besides my own area code. This is not uncommon when you are late with the bill, which i was. However, the message I received when I tried to make calls was "You cannot complete this call as dialed. Your number has been blocked at the CUSTOMERS request.". So the caller (me) is left to believe that ALL my friends, clients, family etc. Are blocking my calls.

When I called them on it, they admitted it was wrong... But effective. They said a notice was sent to me explaining what would happen if the bill was not paid. They did not. When I asked how they would know the wishes of everyone in my phone book outside my area code and why they would ALL decide on the same day to block my calls... They had no answer. So, not only were my calls to these people blocked by AT&T (which they had cause for) but blamed the people for blocking them. It can do alot of damage to relationships, personal and otherwise, when you get all over them for blocking your calls and they have no clue what you are talking about. AT&T has no plans to stop this recording and was not the least bit concerned about the problems their untrue message sent.
