Check this out & ever buy somthing from these folks. Well I bought a lawnmower last year and when a few weeks ago the pull string broke on it i called the Sears to get an estimate on cost of repair.
These retards told me that in order for me to get a price that i could:
1. Have a repairman to the house cost 30.00 trip charge, then 30.00 for an estimate — then cost of repair parts and labor.
2. Bring it in to store - 30.00 for estimate plus labor amd parts
After I picked up my jaw from the floor I asked if the the cost of repair was under 30.00 minus parts of course would this be refunded. & I was told a BIG NO!
I sent an e-mail to customer service about my displeasure and was given the standard chain letter response.
I took the spool of the lawnmover (4 screws) and took it to a local repair shop and was charged $5.47
I am no genius but i think they need to look at thier pratices. After i got my mower fixed I called once again to sears letting them know how much it cost for repair and they still defended the policy. To that I vowed to never buy anything from Sears again and told them that on the phone and in an e-mail. They didnt care
Last week I bought for my kitchen a new stove, frig, and diswasher. Not only did i save money (about 150.00 per appliance) but I e-mailed them my reciepts with a copy of my previous e-mail of NEVER buying from them again
Hope they listen. But im sure they dont care
