Sony has refused, so far, to fix an optical block problem on a KDFE50A10 (Grand Wega) Rear Projection LCD television. We paid approximately $2,500 for this television. Sony now says it is out of warranty and we will have to pay the $1,000 plus repair bill ourselves. The television lasted slightly more than two years before this situation developed.in addition, several of their other models have this problem and they have fixed some of them at no cost to the owners.

The (non-) customer service personnel in Manila are the best at saying "no" it is not our problem that I have ever encountered. They were extremely arrogant and dogmatic in their refusal to even think of helping the customer... It is defend Sony against those evil people who should have known better than buy a television set from Sony.

When paying a premium price for a television you expect a premium product with premium service... Not so with Sony.
