Purchased an item of poor quality/returned it and took 50 days to issue credit

I purchased a stone of very poor quality for $900, had it appraised by a local jeweler who advised me that it was JUNK. Attempted to obtain an RMA number so that I could return the item, tuned into almost 3 weeks before I could get a response. The number listed for their service department does nothing but keep replaying a message. Finally the message prompted me to leave a call back message and number. I did this 25 times during the 3 week period, and no response. One day I was actually on hold for 1.5 hours.

Finally, after viewing their web site I contacted the headquarters and obtained an RMA Number. I returned the item registered via UPS. Item was received in 2 days by AVC. I finally found an e-mail address, from their web page, sent numerous e-mails and finally received a reply. I checked my credit card every 2 days, no credit. So I just kept sending URGENT e-mails and finally yesterday the credit appeared on my credit card.

It has taken me a total of 65 days in order to get the credit applied to my account.

Their items are JUNK, don't waste your time or money. They lack service and quality of product, can't believe they are allowed to sell anything.
