"Philly's Own Soft Pretzel Bakery" A Bakery That Doesn't exist. Another Scam by Paul Eckert

Paul Eckert and Bruce Chamberlin are now selling "Philly's Own Soft Pretzel Bakery " franchises that doesn't actually exist. They are paying money to an old and reputable soft pretzel bakery (Philly's Traditional Soft Pretzel Bakery on County Line Road in Hatboro, PA) to carry their (Philly's Own) name and signs. Then they tell the franchisee candidates that these folks are their "actual" franchisees. They even take the franchisee candidates to this location (County Line Road in Hatboro, PA).

These guys are a trip! They tell the poor franchisee candidates that the food cost and labor cost is nect to nothing and they will make hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales as soon as they open. They also tell the candidates that they have "100 years" of experience in soft pretzel business and 30 years experience in restaurant and food business.in reality they don't know the first thing about the pretzels or the pretzel business. All they have is a couple crappy recipe and training manual that one of their ex employees "copied" from Auntie Anne's recipes and training manual (which happens to be this employee's previous employer).
They also tell people that Paul Eckert and Bruce Chamberlin have more than "30 years of experience in franchising".

The truth is that they were fired from every single job that they had in franchiing industry. Please see the links provided below to see how they were fired and taken to court by their previous employers sych as "United Check Cashing" and "Cash Now" etc.
These people are real bad news. Paul Eckert is a professional con man and his "background" is in "muffler" business and not franchising as he is trying to market himself.

These people don't even know how much a 50 lbs bag of flour cost. Too much for "industry experience". But they know how to lie people about the food cost, labort cost etc. They also tell people that they are "well funded".in reality they couldnt even pay the rent for the office of Philly's Own Soft Pretzel Bakery and are now running that business by using Family Financial Centers' (their other business) phones and physical address. They just signed up a poor guy as their first franchisee and are using his money to keep the company alive. Who knows when they will be able to open that franchisee's bakery. If they ever will that is. They very well know that the location that they found is going to be really bad for this guy's business. But they don't care about that either.

You can go on and on all day about these people. Everything they did and still do is shady. It's amazing to see how they get away with it. Of course there is no mention of their adventures in the franchise world in their UFOC documents for Family Financial Centers or Philly's Own Soft PRetzel Bakery. What a surprise!
Anybody who sign up with these con artists are destined to lose their house, savings and everything else.
