Added a charge to my credit report which is faulty

I settle an account with AT&T back in 2007 for $1000.00, the remaining write off balance was $367.00.

After paying off this account I checked my credit report and found that Palisades Collection had place an attempt to collect notice on it. I never had a letter or conversation with these people at any time.

I had never heard of these people and you can't get a hold of them because there phone is alway busy. What is with these people don't they know they are ruining my credit report.
